2oz Bug Bivy

bug bivy

You want a 2oz bug bivvy?  Who doesn’t!  Check out this idea one of our trail ambassadors, Steve Burgess, came up with.  The idea is that you create a bivvy that can be used for bug protection, and mild rain protection.  You can read a lot more about it here in his post.  So customers, do you think this should be a real product?

There seems to be some confusion as to the length. This bag comes to the top of the thighs and can be cinched up at the waist; it is not full length. I made it for eating/resting in buggy conditions and for covering the end of a Blizzard Tube or minimalist bivy bag whilst sleeping. Worked great this summer!

If the net is against your bare skin, can the bugs bite you?

We usually wear a hat to keep the netting directly off the face, but in any case the material is loose enough that we never experienced bites through the netting

This bug bivy is AWESOME. I absolutely think this should be offered as a product.
