Dyneema Murmur Information

dyneema murmur

Well the day has finally arrived!!  The new Murmurs are coming off the factory line as we speak and we will begin shipping them any day now.  It is the same basic size and design as the old Murmur but has some exciting new features.  But before we get into that let’s talk weight!  That is after all what this pack is all about.  It weighs in at a UL Hyperweight 8.4 oz. Grant and Glen have been working months to pack all these new features and keep the weight down and the proof is in the pack.  We hope you agree.

What’s new is that it accented with our new Dyneema UL 140d ripstop material, and outfitted with a totally new closure system.  The construction and volume are the same time tested design as the old royal blue Murmur, but with many improvements.   It is made of an improved ultra lightweight 30d ripstop nylon that has better durability and water proofness.   The pockets and the bottom are the areas that see the most wear so we have made them out of our totally new 140d Dyneema ripstop material.  The shoulder straps have also been re-designed for more comfort and a more adjustable sternum strap.  All in all, a much more durable and functional pack and still in the same hyperweight weight class as the original Murmur.

If you have any questions or comments, please leave them so we can get you the answers you need to tell if this is the pack for you.

Update:  We not longer supply the Dyneema version – see updated Murmur

Glen, Having finaly destroyed my tried and trusted G5, I was disappointed to hear about the Murmur DX. The new Murmur, while still heavier, is the exact replacement I have been hoping for. I really could not believe a MURMUR was 13oz. Wow. My old Miniposa is still alive and well…if getting due for replacement, in a year or two. Looking forward to that one, too. My faith in GG has been restored.

Can’t wait! My old one is starting to get a little worn and would love to replace it with the new model this season.
