Blood and Failure

Our hearts and prayers go out to Trail Ambassador Martin Rye, who recently on a trek known as the Cumbria Way charity walk had a fall and cut his head badly.  Martin was able however to recount the entire story, and a big pat on the back for having the courage to write about it and tell the world. When Martin recovers, he plans to complete the Cumbria walk, so be on the look out!  And please take this moment to pause and remember safety on the trail is a really good thing.

One Response to Blood and Failure

Big thanks for all the comments of support and I recovered well. I did the Cumbria Way again over the Easter holidays covering the 70 miles in 3 days. For a low level route a 29 mile day with over 4500ft of climbing in those 29 miles makes for some hard walking.

I just got home last night form completing the 2011 TGO Challenge and used the Gorilla pack and GVP stove on this coast to coast across Scotland. Being able to travel light and move fast helped with all the bad weather I had in Scotland.
