Mike and Troop 1128 in Virginia

troop 1128

Hi to all,

Attached is a picture from our Troop 1128, Vienna VA high adventure trip to the Wind River Range, WY this past August. 10 scouts and 5 advisors took the two week trip starting with two days of day canyon hiking in the Tetons to acclimate, then 12 days in the Bridger Wilderness Area. Six of the 15 hikers used Gossamer Gear ultralight backpacks on the trip, 3 scouts and 3 advisors. The attached shot is from the first day out of the Green River Lakes Trailhead moving toward our first night at Beaver Park which is around Tabletop and The Bottle in picture background. The highlight of the trip was the ascent to the top of Freemont Peak (13745) and boot skiing down from the saddle afterward.

Thanks for keeping us lightweight,

Mike Macesich
