Customer 2012 Gorilla Backpack in Utah

Photographs by Cody Cobb

Hello GG. Here are some photos of me and my Gorilla 2012 from a recent trip to Utah. 30 miles out and back in Coyote Gulch, 50 mile traverse of Zion NP, 30 miles in the Dark Canyon Wilderness (not pictured), and ruin and rock art hunting day hikes (not pictured). The pack was a dream in every way.

Thanks for the genius design and manufacturing,

We would love to publish your ultralight gear story

We were just at Coyote Gulch last month, May ’12. It was a pretty awesome experience. I’ve never experienced such diverse flora in such a small area. Did you see the petroglyphs?
We stayed the first night at Jacob Hamblin Arch and then the second night about 1/2 up Hurricane Wash. Yep, not a great idea for sure but we were beat and there was no rain in the forecast for days. Also, we figured out why it was named Hurricane!! It was damn windy down there.

Hi Al, we were there around the same time.. May 18th. We also got caught in a wicked sand storm. Didnt see the petroglyphs or the ruins in there.

I was using the REI Traverse Powerlock poles. I wouldnt really recommend the, though. Not particularly light or well made. i just got them because they were affordable.
