Heather “Anish” Anderson

I went on my first hike when I was 20. By age 25, I had completed the “Triple Crown.” In 2013, I set the self -supported (thru-hiker style) Speed Record (aka Fastest Known Time, FKT) for the Pacific Crest Trail and in 2015 set the self-supported Speed Record for the Appalachian Trail. In 2016 I set the Speed Record for the Arizona Trail. The wilderness is my love and my sacred space. When I am not there, I am not whole.

  1. Hello Heather, I just read your article and gear list for the Oregon Desert Trail. Impressive! I was wondering what you use for a cathole trowel? Thanks! Kate aka Kitten Tenderfoot
